As Business Development Consultant I am the first point of contact with the company for potential new Momentum clients. As I assess their needs I take great pride and pleasure in understanding their key requirements for improving current workflows. Once we’ve determined if our software is a good fit for those needs, I then introduce our Business Development Manager, Bryan Jaynes to further demonstrate either MYOB Exo or MYOB Advanced products to confirm the fit. I also work closely with our Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Partners and existing clients to recommend add-on solutions that may enhance their existing systems.
My background quickly – after a short stint in Business College I knew that at the time working in an office was not for me. I was attracted to the Fashion Industry and spent the next 20 years owning and operating four retail outlets as well as owning and operating two award-winning Modern Australian Cuisine Restaurants. As the saying goes, “to everything there is a season,” and time, tide and tech innovation led me to close my fashion retail outlets to pursue a career in sales, first with a national hospitality brand, later with a retail point-of-sale software company, before finally finding my tribe at Momentum Software Solutions and ironically, in a lovely office.
I love working with Momentum for two main reasons – first I love the people. Second, I love learning and every day at Momentum is a learning experience. Great people, great culture supporting great products and clients.
Outside of work, you’ll either find me in the kitchen, fermenting or discovering and preparing unusual dishes. You might also find me in my garden, my home yoga room or at my Community Centre Fitness Club. The past year has found me returning to the violin and thanks to Santa 2020, I’ll soon be adding sewing to my personal pleasures.
